Web sites are not like other purchases. We create a web site that is tailored to your specifications and addresses your goals. For that reason, each web site will have different costs associated with it. In general however, web site costs will run $2,000 and up.

We accept credit cards and checks.
- What is the client's involvement in the design process?
As the client, your design and content preferences drive the creation of the web site. We spend time gathering all the information on what your goals are and what you would like the site to look like and convey. In addition, while we are creating your site, we may contact you with questions if necessary.
- Who owns the copyright for work Kaufman Web Design™ has done for me?
Until final payment has been made, the web site is the property of Kaufman Web Design™. After final payment, the site becomes the property of the client.
- What is the turnaround time for a typical web site project?
A small site can take between three and five weeks to complete. Larger sites can take a few months. Overall, we always communicate the anticipated timeframe it will take to complete your site.
- What are the main steps to getting a presence on the Web?
- Reserve the Domain Name
This is the www.something.com address for your web site. It needs to be reserved for one or more years.
- Design the Web Site
This is the creation of your web site by a professional designer. See our Process page for more details.
- Purchase Hosting
This is the "parking spot" on the Internet. Your web site sits in this space. Cost can vary depending on what you need your web site to do.
- Market Your Web Site
You need to advertise your web site on all your marketing materials (business cards, brochures, signs, and so on). Get the word out that you have a site, and it will help your customers and/or your employees.
- Can you guarantee my site will appear on the first page in a search engine?
There is no way to guarantee high search engine rankings. What we offer is complete set of services to maximize your web site rankings. It is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Our SEO service can help you enhance your site so it ranks well in the search engines. If you sign on for ongoing SEO service, your long term chances of attaining top 10 search engine rankings are very good.
- How much do you charge for updates?
Our hourly rate is $80 an hour for basic web design work. Other services like database programming and e-commerce are somewhat higher. Contact us for more information on rates.
- I would like to use your web site design service, what do I do now?

- Do I have to come to your office to get a web site?
No. We can come to your location to discuss the details of the project or even meet at a central location and discuss it over a cup of coffee (as long as the table has room for our laptop!)
